Titans Vs Islanders

Chucky - 5.5
His 29 at the top was a valuable contribution, although more is expected from him. Got out stuck in the crease to one he should have come out to. One of the most agile fielders in the side. He is quick to chase down wides and edges when needed. His throw from the boundary was a part of the first runout.

Dalip - 2
Although the Master Blaster showed some signs of picking and choosing the balls to hit, he still survived about 10 balls. It is a good sign for the future though. Was a little erratic with his throws, and one of them thrown to the keeper, was wild enough to effect a runout at the bowlers end.

Rakesh - 2
Chipped a ball off his pads straight to square leg. Recent failures from Dalip and him have made the top order look shaky. Dropped a regulation high catch at mid-off off the skippers bowling. Needs to pick himself up and play to his immense potential.

Prateek - 8
Batting was sedate but effective. Got out in the 42nd over, but should have stuck for the last 3 overs and helped get a bigger score for the team and himself. Effected the runout to break the opening partnership with a direct hit at the bowlers end. Had a good day behind the stumps by holding onto 4 catches. Needs to develop his strokes, there was'nt a single four in his batting effort.

Dave - 2
His story was pretty similar to Rakesh's . Had one decent swipe to square leg, but not much else went his way. Stayed back to one that would have hit the top of middle/leg and was given LBW. Dropped a catch at midwicket(in the circle) which can be put down to lack in concentration.

Atif - 1
Horrendous day for Atif. Edged one behind to be out for a duck. Dropped a simple chance, which he seemed to have held onto for a moment, at mid off. Took the catch of the opposing captain and that is the only positive on the highlight reel from him.

Tanmay - 6
Was starting to look good with the bat when he hit one straight to the fielder and set off for a run that was not there. Bowling was tight as usual conceding under 3 an over. He has become a key component of the attack. Wrapped up the tail two wickets in the last over to end with 2-23.

Yasir - 7.5
His batting was all big swings but it did not produce much. Needs to try to watch the ball more. Bowled with a lot of heart and got his nine fiery overs in on the trot. 3-28 are good figures under any conditions. The only concern were the wides and no balls. He is emerging as a good team player and his consistent performance only bodes well for the future.

Warren - 3
The tall quick had a day to forget. He got out to a smart catch on a square drive that he did not get on top of. While his first two overs had some fire, things started to go down from there. His last 6 went at 6 an over bringing his over all figures to just under 5 an over. It is the first time in the season that he has gone wicketless. This should not concern him much as we know he is a class bowler and will come back strong.

Paul - 7.5
Got a few quick runs and stayed not out to push the score to 178. He seems to be enjoying his bowling more every game. 3-23 were the best figures fo the match and were all smartly taken wickets. His line/length stuff with slight variations seems to be working great. The diving and tumpling catch off of his own bowling left an imprint on the mind and the pitch.

Krish - 2.5
He needs to pick his game up, because his colleagues in the bowling department are way ahead of him. Batting was decent as he stayed not out on 3. He bowled alright, but not effectively enough. His strength is line and length and straying from that is going to hurt him. Went for slightly over 6 an over with no wickets. Needs to practice hitting the good line/length spots.

Result - Titans CC(178 for 9) defeated Islanders CC(134 all out) by 44 runs.
